The Chambers of Commerce of Russia and Belarus Signed an Agreement on the Establishment of a Business Council

On June 30, 2021, at on-line meeting of the Business Cooperation Council of Russia and Belarus, the heads of the chambers of commerce of the two countries Sergey Katyrin and Vladimir Ulakhovich signed an Agreement on the establishment of a joint Belarusian-Russian business council.

Before the signing, a discussion of the situation in trade and economic relations between the two countries took place, where the President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Sergey Katyrin made an opening remarks. He noted that the past year was not lost for the two chambers, which actively interacted with each other. “Much has been done in the field of exhibition activities,” said Sergey Katyrin. According to him, the trade turnover between Russia and Belarus in the first quarter of 2021 increased by more than 21 percent compared to 2020.

Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vladimir Ulakhovich noted that the past year forced everyone to learn to work on-line and develop a digital agenda. It was announced that Alexander Yastrib, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vozdukhotekhnika, will be the co-chairman of the joint business council.
