September 16-19, 2021, the 30th agricultural exhibition MeLa took place in the federal land of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, the agricultural region of Germany with the largest farms. Russian agricultural machinery and equipment of the Rostselmash group of companies (Rostov-on-Don) and the VELES company (Altai Kray) attracted great interest.

This year, farmers were able to see another achievement of Rostov technology, its capabilities in terms of threshing quality and productivity in conditions of high weediness and ultra-moist soils. As the dealer network expands, as well as training and service points, so does the demand for these machines. Mihai Ignat, who heads the official representative office of the Rostselmash combine plant in Germany - RSM Agrartechnik GmbH, is confident that this trend will continue.

Rostselmash's harvesters and trailers are in demand in Europe, deliveries exceeded fifteen million euros, the geography of deliveries is expanding, the Rostselmash group of companies is already represented in 60 countries. At the exhibition in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, new supply agreements were reached, including with Luxembourg and Belgium.

At the MeLa-2021 exhibition, with the assistance of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Germany, negotiations were held not only with German farmers, but also with foreign visitors to the exhibition, in particular, with a US farmer interested in purchasing VELES equipment for processing fields in Texas (USA) and Nigeria. In general, the demand for relatively inexpensive and reliable Russian equipment is growing; the volume of sales of VELES equipment in Europe last year exceeded one million dollars.

Back in 2018, Rostselmash presented the heavy-duty RSM 161 and 1403 machines at the MeLa exhibition. Three years ago, the augmented model 161 was in the focus of attention of German farmers, who highly appreciated the unique system of high-quality and gentle threshing TETRA Processor, OptiFlow cleaning, six-key straw walker, high performance in difficult agricultural environments, versatility and comfort.

The exhibition is held every two years and is one of the largest international platforms for displaying agricultural machinery and equipment.
