"The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation has carried out and systematically carries out work in the countries of the Middle East, aimed at strengthening and increasing the level of economic cooperation between our countries." This was stated by the President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Sergey Katyrin on November 23 in his speech at the opening of the representative office of the Chamber in Dubai (UAE).

The opening of a representative office of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Dubai is a clear signal to the business circles of the Arab Emirates and other countries of the Middle East about our readiness and interest in developing mutually beneficial long-term cooperation on the entire agenda of trade, economic and investment relations.

In this regard, the Chamber decided to open the Office of the Honorary Representative in the Middle East, headquartered in the United Arab Emirates, in Dubai. From November 1, 2021, Alexander Maksimov, who has extensive practical experience in this region, has been appointed the Honorary Representative of the Chamber in the region.

“I am confident that his knowledge of the conjuncture of economic relations between Russia and the Middle East and understanding of promising directions for the development of cooperation will allow him to successfully cope with all the tasks set,” Sergey Katyrin assured. He expressed the hope that 2022 will become a new stage for everyone in the qualitative development of business cooperation.

The delegation of the Chamber headed by Sergey Katyrin takes part in the international exhibition of the latest scientific and technological achievements: Dubai Expo-2020 and in the 12th World Congress of Chambers of Commerce.
