President of the Chamber Evaluated the World Congress of Chambers, Ended in Dubai

The President of the Chamber Sergey Katyrin called the work of the delegation of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation at the 12th World Congress of Chambers of Commerce "fruitful".

 

The Russian delegation included representatives of Expocentre AO, Moscow Chamber, Chamber of St. Petersburg, chambers of commerce and industry of Tatarstan, Bashkiria, Novorossiysk, Ulyanovsk, Lipetsk, Nizhny Novgorod and Stavropol. Local business circles paid special attention to the opening in Dubai, the largest city of the United Arab Emirates and the most important trade and financial center of the Middle East, the office of the honorary representative of the Russian Chamber.

 

Sergei Katyrin noted in this regard: “We see here, in the Middle East, great opportunities for Russian entrepreneurs”. In turn, President of the Dubai Chamber Hamad Buamim announced during a meeting with Sergei Katyrin about the decision to open an office of the chamber in Moscow next year, which, naturally, will support the expansion of interaction between business representatives from the Arab side.

 

The World Congress of Chambers of Commerce, held by the World Federation of Chambers of Commerce (WFTU) every two years alternately on all continents of the world, is an international event in which delegations from more than 100 countries of the world take part.

 

In 2019, the Congress was held in Rio de Janeiro, in 2021 - in Dubai. The next one will take place in 2023 in Geneva.
