Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation Vladimir Padalko met on December 8 with the Secretary General of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization (BSEC) Lazar Comenescu.

The Secretary General of the organization highlighted the importance of Russia in the Black Sea region. In connection with Russia's chairmanship in the BSEC from July to December 2022, Mr. Comenescu expressed hope for support from Russia, and the Chamber in particular, for active involvement in cooperation with the BSEC member countries.

The Vice President of the Chamber assured that Russia is fully ready to cooperate with the countries of the region. During Russia's chairmanship in the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation, special emphasis will be placed on supporting contacts between small and medium-sized businesses, Mr. Padalko said.

As an example, the Vice President of the Chamber cited the Russian company "Globalrustrade", which created a successful e-commerce trading platform for small and medium-sized businesses in the areas of digital technologies, ecology, logistics, tourism, etc. Since the launch of the site, about 180 small and medium-sized businesses from 11 BSEC countries joined it.
