15.12.2022

The discussion of the issues of transport and logistics cooperation between Russia and Tajikistan was devoted to the "round table", which took place on December 15 in the Small Hall of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation.

Vladimir Padalko, Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, thanked those present for their participation and noted that the Chamber had fulfilled its intentions and promises in the Tajik direction. For two years, together with the delegations of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the Chernozem Region, Siberia and the Urals, we have launched our activities together with our Tajik colleagues, the Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry noted.
When we recently arrived in the Sughd region and found out that none of the representatives of the Chamber had been there, we were extremely surprised, Vladimir Padalko said. At that time, we had highly liquid markets in Europe and America - all eyes were on there, but now we began to prioritize differently. Now we will move forward gradually - today we are discussing transport logistics, then we will deal with issues of migration, science and education. Vladimir Padalko wished successful work to the participants of the round table.
The meeting of the Council was opened by its chairman Islam Nazaraliev, who proposed to form a working group within the framework of the Russian-Tajik Business Council on issues of transport and logistics cooperation between Russia and Tajikistan.
Deputy Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Igor Chalik and Deputy Minister of Transport of the Republic of Tajikistan Ms. Shoista Saidmurodzoda addressed the meeting participants via videoconference, noting the priority nature of proposals for the development of transport and logistics companies.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the customs authorities of the two countries Maxim Rodikov and Tursonzada Azim Khaidar. Director of the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation Aleksey Sapetko and Director of the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Transport of Tajikistan Saifullo Kodirov addressed the participants.
The round table was moderated by Oleg Dunaev, a leading Russian specialist in logistics and transport services, a member of the relevant committee of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation. Representatives of leading Russian and Tajik companies and organizations interested in the development of trade and economic relations between our countries spoke at the meeting.
Following the results of the round table meeting, the parties agreed that in the context of the instability and uncertainty of the situation on world markets, the current imbalance of exports and imports in mutual trade, the need to ensure food security and industrial growth in both countries, there is an increasing need for more active cooperation between Russia and Tajikistan in the areas of transport and logistics.
