On January 25, the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation Sergey Katyrin held a meeting with the heads of organizations that received membership in the Chamber in 2022.
In his opening speech, he noted that the members of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation have access to the entire range of quality services for business development in 148 chambers of commerce and industry, their representative offices and branches. He also spoke about the activities of 20 sectoral committees and 12 councils on cross-sectoral topics, proposing to consider options for participation in their work.
Sergey Katyrin noted that members of the Chamber have the opportunity to influence the rule-making process, including within the framework of the regulatory impact assessment (RIA) procedure. Thus, over 12 years of operation of the RIA procedure, more than 17 thousand draft regulatory legal acts have been considered, of which about 1.8 thousand last year. The share of comments taken into account (the so-called "influence ratio") at the end of 2022 is 52%. “This is a very good result,” said the president of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
He voiced other possibilities of the Chamber. Among them are access to arbitration institutions and dispute resolution bodies (the Maritime Arbitration Commission and the International Commercial Arbitration Court), the possibility of delegation to public formations under government bodies to promote initiatives to develop the economy.
According to Sergey Katyrin, the interests of the RF CCI and its members in other countries are protected by 24 foreign representatives. Under the auspices of the Chamber there are 77 business councils for cooperation with foreign countries, including multilateral business councils of BRICS and SCO.
Representatives of affiliated organizations then spoke. Andrey Tretyakov, director of the National Association for the Expertise of Subsoils, Ekaterina Shestakova, CEO of the Nalco Company, Mikhail Vasiliev, President of the RATPE Association, Igor Runets, CEO of the Bitriver Management Company, and Executive Director of the Association "Russian Pellet Union" Vladimir Mammatov, representative of the leasing company "Simple Solutions" Ekaterina Vichkanova and press secretary of the interregional public organization for the support of economic development of the society "Industrial Community" Yulia Berezutskaya.
The meeting was also attended by Vice-President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation Vladimir Padalko and Director of the Department for Work with Associations of Entrepreneurs of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation Alexander Volchenko.
