The Chamber Hosted a Meeting with the Trade Councelor of the Turkish Embassy

At a meeting on March 16, Vice President of the Chamber Vladimir Padalko and trade councelor of the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in the Russian Federation Omer Kerman agreed that the intensification of contacts between Russian and Turkish entrepreneurs, the exchange of information on trade and economic opportunities will be useful for the two countries and will contribute to building up cooperation and further promoting business interests.

 

The Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation emphasized the readiness to develop contacts with the embassy on information exchange issues (the current state of the markets and the needs of the economy, business conditions, the legislative framework, commercial offers and tenders). He informed the trade adviser in detail about the possibilities of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, both in the regions of Russia and in the field of international relations.

 

Vladimir Padalko noted that now there are ample opportunities for the further development of trade and economic ties. First of all, by intensifying contacts between business circles. In this sense, according to the vice president, a high level of exchange of delegations and participation of entrepreneurs from both countries in b2b events should be maintained.

The parties also confirmed the need to maintain active cooperation in the congress and exhibition field. The trade adviser noted that in 2022, Turkish companies took part in 71 exhibitions in Russia. Vladimir Padalko, in turn, invited representatives of the Turkish side to participate in international specialized exhibitions at Expocentre, a subsidiary of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and also expressed his readiness to receive feedback to improve exhibition services for Turkish entrepreneurs.

Omer Kerman expressed interest in expanding Russian-Turkish business cooperation in various areas of trade, and also spoke about the place where Russian companies can find counterparties in Turkey: askturkiye.com/ru.
