On August 29, a strategic session on scientific, technical and trade and economic cooperation with Chinese enterprises was held at the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
It was attended by representatives of the Skolkovo Foundation, the Fund for the Development of Innovative Entrepreneurship of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, the Federation of Industry and Trade, the Association of Industry and Trade of Dongguan (Guangdong Province), Chinese enterprises, regional and municipal chambers of commerce and industry and their affiliates, relevant committees and associations of the Chamber.
The meeting was chaired by Zuo Qing, head of the Russian-Chinese consortium of the Innovation Commercialization Center, representative of the CIS Innovation Commercialization Center in China.
Opening the session, Dmitry Kurochkin, Vice-President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, emphasized that the activity of the system of chambers of commerce and industry in scientific, technological and innovative cooperation with Chinese enterprises is at a high level. Representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation in East Asia (Beijing) and China (Shanghai) contribute to the development of industrial cooperation between our countries, and the Russian-Chinese Business Council is actively working.
High activity of interaction is also observed at the interregional level. Thus, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Tyumen Region, which has the status of a national (industry) contact center, in April organized the participation of Tyumen enterprises in the Canton Fair and visits to high-tech enterprises in Guangzhou, and held the Chongqing-Russia trade and economic conference. In June, the CCI of the Republic of Bashkortostan organized a business mission of business circles to China to participate in the 32nd International Trade and Economic Fair in Harbin.
Alexander Okunev, Deputy Vice President for Regional Development and Cooperation with the CIS of the Skolkovo Foundation, Chen Xiaoling, Representative of the Innovative Entrepreneurship Development Fund of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation in Guangdong Province, Deputy Chairman of the Dongguan Federation of Industry and Trade (Guangdong Province) addressed the participants of the event with a welcoming speech ); Chairman of the Association of Industry and Commerce, Chairman of the Dongguan Chamber of Commerce and Industry - Qiaotou Mo Canliang. Hao Zongyuan, director of the Executive Committee of Industry and Trade of Dongguan Qiaotou, chairman of Dongguan Yuix Smart Home Co., Ltd, announced new developments in furniture production. Dongguan Qiaotou Industry and Trade Association Member, Chairman of Dongguan Wheeler Hardware Precision Products Co., Ltd., spoke about the production of carbon steel, stainless steel and duplex steel structural accessories based on advanced technology and scientific management systems. Igor Solomakho, General Director of LLC DT Center for Construction Equipment, proposed to work out a number of measures to support Russian-Chinese trade and economic cooperation. Timur Mansurov, head of the economic cooperation department of the CIS Executive Committee, said that the CIS Executive Committee monitors the implementation of the IHL, and noted the need to control compliance with quality standards and safety requirements when importing Chinese products to Russian markets, suggesting that this work be built using the capabilities of the FRIP.
The IPIF representative in the Kyrgyz Republic, Sergey Zagromov, spoke about the work on the formation of cooperative Russian-Kyrgyz projects and the possibilities of cooperation with Chinese business. Arseniy Uralov, President of the Association of Accelerators and Business Incubators of Russia, head of the IHL Competence Center, emphasized the importance of training personnel and attracting specialized experts to establish effective Russian-Chinese cooperation. Andrey Ondar, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tyva, voiced the need for enterprises of the Republic to purchase machine tools and equipment from China for processing agricultural products.
Based on the results of the strategic session, a pool of projects and proposals for Russian-Chinese innovation cooperation will be formed.
