On January 27, the first festival-fair of Russian goods “Made in Russia” opened in the city of Shenyang, the capital of the Chinese province of Liaoning.

General Director of the Russian Export Center Veronika Nikishina, Governor of Liaoning Province Li Lecheng, Mayor of Shenyang Lu Zhicheng, as well as representatives of Russian and Chinese business addressed the guests of the festival-fair with a welcoming speech.

“The mission of the festival-fair is to create the image of our country as a reliable partner. And the synergy of promoting Russian products, culture, sports and traditions, which underlies our new export promotion format, is invaluable in this regard. We brought to China everything better that is “Made in Russia”: our hospitality, traditions and environmentally friendly, high-quality, delicious products. We are confident that this will make it possible to bring our countries a little closer to each other,” emphasized REC General Director Veronika Nikishina.

The festival is organized by the Russian Export Center (VEB.RF Group) with the support of the Government of Russia and the Government of Liaoning Province.

In total, about 1.5 thousand items of goods are presented on the fair's shelves, including various sweets, drinks, natural dairy products, fresh seafood and other products from Russian manufacturers. In total, more than 130 companies from about 30 regions of Russia take part in the pilot festival-fair.

These include both small companies that are entering the Chinese market for the first time, and the largest agricultural producers: Miratorg, Cherkizovo, Efko, Baltika, MAKFA, Soyuzpischeprom, United Confectioners, Slavyanka ", "Russian Crab", "SZRK", "Ekonova", "Komos", "BRPI", "Uncle Vanya", "ABI Product" and others. For them, the Russian Export Center organizes targeted negotiations with potential partners.

The opening ceremony of the festival began with concert performances by Russian and Chinese performers. The folk instrument ensemble “Carousel” from the Amur Region performed the songs “Kalinka” and “Moscow Nights” before the guests of the festival-fair.
