On February 6, a presentation of nuts and nut products from the Jalal-Abad region of the Kyrgyz Republic took place at the International Exhibition of Food, Beverages and Raw Materials for Their Production “Prodexpo”.

Vice President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vladimir Padalko, who spoke at the presentation, noted the special taste qualities of nuts from this region of Kyrgyzstan. According to him, participants in the Russian-Kyrgyz interregional conference and the meeting of the Intergovernmental Russian-Kyrgyz Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technical and Humanitarian Cooperation, held last year, drew attention to the nuts grown in the Jalal-Abad region and proposed to present this products in Moscow at a major international exhibition at Expocentre. The Vice President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry expressed hope that products from Kyrgyzstan will be in demand on the Russian market and will appeal to consumers.

Kyrgyz manufacturers also presented other products produced in the country. In particular, confectionery, frozen convenience foods, soft drinks and beer.
