Vice President of the Chamber Vladimir Padalko Met Delegation of Sultanate Oman

The meeting of the Vice President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vladimir Padalko with the Omani delegation, held on April 15, was devoted to discussing issues of bilateral cooperation with the Sultanate of Oman.

In his welcoming remarks, Vladimir Padalko noted that Russia perceives Oman as a reliable partner with whom one can work not only in the field of trade, but also in the field of high technology. He also noted the significant interest in cooperation with Oman on the part of Russian regional companies. Mr. Padalko listed Lipetsk, Samara and Nizhny Novgorod as the most interested regions. “Our primary goal is to correctly compare the interests that exist between entrepreneurs in Russia and Oman,” he emphasized.

During the conversation, the possibilities of participation of the Sultan of Oman in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum this year were discussed, including B2B meetings with the involvement of member organizations of the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Chairman of the Russian-Omani Business Council Alexey Rubtsov said that work is currently underway to form a pool of Russian projects that could successfully operate in Oman and promote Russian goods to the Omani market. He described the investment background in Oman as very positive, and particularly noted the opportunities for free economic zones created in this country.

Representatives of Oman expressed their readiness to open a special pavilion at SPIEF 2024 and organize a presentation of the investment opportunities of their country. The Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Russian Federation, Hamood Al-Towaiya, spoke at the meeting and noted the high level of bilateral cooperation and support for the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
