Sergey Katyrin Participated in the Meeting of the Organizing Committee of the Forum “Russia-Islamic World:KazanForum”

On April 16, a meeting of the Organizing Committee for the preparation and holding of the International Economic Forum “Russia-Islamic World: KazanForum” was held. From the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation participated President Sergei Katyrin and Vice-President Ilya Zubkov.
The meeting was chaired by Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the Organizing Committee Marat Khusnullin.
Reports on preparations for the Forum were made by Rustam Minnikhanov, Head of the Republic of Tatarstan, Deputy Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Chairman of the Strategic Vision Group “Russia - Islamic World”; Anton Kobyakov, Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation, Deputy Chairman - Executive Secretary of the Organizing Committee; Vladimir Ilyichev, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, head of the working group of the Organizing Committee for the development of the program; Talia Minullina, Head of the Investment Development Agency of the Republic of Tatarstan; representatives of ministries and departments who reported on the degree of readiness to host the Forum.
To date, representatives of 54 countries have confirmed their participation in the Forum. The business program includes 125 sessions on such current topics as international cooperation, science and technology, investment, industry, business, halal industry, Islamic finance, culture, sports, tourism, women's perspective.
This year, as part of the “Russia-Islamic World: KazanForum” program, it is planned to hold the Forum of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) countries, which will include a plenary session “Development of the Circular Economy” and a discussion on the exchange of best practices of chambers of commerce and industry ( with the participation of heads of regional and foreign Chamber of Commerce and Industry)
The Forum in Kazan will also include sessions held by the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry: “Technical regulation and standardization of priority sectors of the economy”, “Reaching a new level of development of manufacturing SMEs. Cooperation. Investments. Markets”, “Family business as a brand of the national economy”, “International commercial arbitration in the countries of the Islamic world”.
“Russia-Islamic World: KazanForum” will be held May 14-19, 2024. The purpose of the event is to strengthen trade, economic, scientific, technical, educational, social and cultural ties between the regions of Russia and the countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
