On April 24, a business breakfast of Russian entrepreneurs with the leadership of the Confederation of Nepalese Industry and the Nepal-Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry ended the Chamber’s business mission to Nepal.

Memorandums of understanding were signed between the delegates of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the leadership of the Confederation. The document was signed by the President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Sergei Katyrin and the President of the Confederation of Nepalese Industry Rajesh Kumar Agrawal.Following his trip to the country, President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Sergei Katyrin noted that Nepalese authorities and entrepreneurs are showing great interest in cooperation with Russian companies.

“At this stage, it is necessary to correctly use mutual desires to develop relations, moreover, Nepal is now actively changing legislation, aiming at creating a more favorable climate for investors and increasing the investment attractiveness of the country. I think this will also help attract Russian entrepreneurs,” he said.

At the end of April, the next Russian delegation will arrive at the Nepalese investment forum, which included a wide range of companies, including tourism, pharmaceutical and manufacturing firms. “Real investment projects will be presented there, and it will be possible to talk about very specific things,” said Sergei Katyrin.

The business mission brings together about 20 representatives of large companies representing Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg and Lipetsk, as well as heads of the territorial chambers of commerce and industry of these regions.

Tomorrow, April 25, the business mission will continue in India. The agenda includes meetings with the management of the Shapoorji Pallonji group of companies (the leading developer in the country), business circles of the state of Maharashta, and discussion of issues of bilateral cooperation with representatives of the All India Industry Association. A representative office of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry will also be opened in Mumbai and Kathmandu.
