In Mumbai (India) Was Opened the Office of the Honorary Rep of Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry

The Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry continues its business mission to India. In the course of the visit, the office of the honorary representative of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry was opened in Mumbai.

The honorary representative of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry is Vladislav Dmitriev, who has extensive experience working in India and Nepal as an entrepreneur.

“A year ago, the office of the honorary representative was opened in Delhi, now it is the turn to open a similar office in Mumbai, which, in addition to India, will operate in another country of the South Asian Association of Regional Cooperation - Nepal,” the president noted at the opening ceremony of the office Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation Sergey Katyrin.

He noted that in an economic sense, Russia has long been connected with India and Nepal through various commercial contracts and long-term investment projects. But in the context of current realities, trade and economic relations between countries can reach a new qualitative level of development, said the head of the Russian chamber.

In the implementation of this task, according to him, an important role belongs to the regions of our country. An important feature of cooperation at the new stage is also the high interest in the development of business relations with India and Nepal on the part of Russian small and medium-sized businesses - the sustainability of bilateral trade and economic cooperation and the prospects for its diversification largely depend on this segment.

“I am confident that the opening of the office of the honorary representative in Mumbai will be perceived by our partners - the All India Association of Industrialists, the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) and local business circles - as a clear signal of our readiness and interest in developing mutually beneficial long-term cooperation on the entire trade agenda -economic relations,” emphasized Sergei Katyrin.

Also today, delegates of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry met with the President of the All India Association of Industry (AIAI), Chairman of the World Trade Center (Mumbai) Vijay Govardhandas Kalantri and representatives of local business circles. Issues of bilateral Russian-Indian cooperation were discussed.
