The Business Mission to India of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Completed

The Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry delegation completed a business mission to India, which included about 20 representatives of large companies representing Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg and Lipetsk, as well as heads of the chambers of commerce and industry of these regions. The delegation was headed by the President of the Chamber Sergei Katyrin.

The delegates held talks with representatives of local authorities and business circles from various fields, and met with the President of the All India Association of Industry (AIAI), Chairman of WTC Mumbai Vijay Govardhandas Kalantri.

The central event was the opening of the office of the honorary representative of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Mumbai and Kathmandu. The ceremony was attended by representatives of Russian and Indian companies, banks, and the Trade Mission of the Russian Federation in India.

“Now we have two representative offices. One in New Delhi and the other in Mumbai. The office in Mumbai will operate in another country of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation - Nepal,” said Sergey Katyrin.

The honorary representative of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry is Vladislav Dmitriev, who has extensive experience working in India and Nepal as an entrepreneur.

As Sergey Katyrin pointed out, given the number of companies from India that came to the meeting as part of the office opening ceremony, the interest of Indian entrepreneurs in cooperation with Russia is very high. “About 100 companies were at the meeting,” he noted, emphasizing that they all came with specific proposals.
