In Muscat, Capital of Oman, Sergei Katyrin Held Meeting with Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Sultanate of Oman

President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Sergei Katyrin held a working meeting with Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Sultanate of Oman Faisal Al-Rawas. It took place in the capital of Oman, Muscat, at the end of the business mission of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry to Nepal and India.

During the meeting, it was noted that Russian-Omani relations are friendly and an intensive delegation exchange has been established. Economic cooperation covers agriculture, pharmaceuticals, energy, oil and gas sector, transport infrastructure, tourism and other areas.

Currently, work is underway to form a pool of Russian projects that could successfully operate in Oman and promote Russian goods to the Omani market.

The meeting participants discussed cooperation in the exhibition and fair sphere, in the field of information support for trade relations. The Omani side confirmed its participation in the upcoming St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

The partner organization of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the Sultanate of Oman is the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Oman. The inter-chamber Cooperation Agreement of August 31, 2005 serves as the legal basis for relations.

Vice President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vladimir Padalko attended the meeting.
