On June 25, 2024, Vice President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vladimir Padalko held a meeting with the leadership of specialized structures of Ethiopia responsible for public procurement.

The meeting was organized by the Coordinating Committee for Economic Cooperation with African Countries (AFROCOM) and was held with the broad participation of representatives of key specialized associations and a number of public formations of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Vladimir Padalko informed Ethiopian partners about the export opportunities of domestic producers of grain, fertilizers, as well as pharmaceutical and veterinary products.

In addition, as the Vice President noted, taking into account the invitation of the Ethiopian side, we are considering the possibility of forming a business delegation of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry to participate in a multi-industry exhibition that will be held in the first ten days of November this year in Addis Ababa, where the central international office of AFROCOM is located.

Mr. Acha Demissie, Director General of the Ethiopian Trade Corporation, noted Ethiopia's interest in supplying a wide range of Russian products. He also emphasized that the promotion of products from Russian manufacturers will be facilitated by the Afrocom office operating in Addis Ababa.

During the meeting, the participants confirmed their mutual interest in the further development of trade and economic cooperation between Russia and Ethiopia.
