Meeting Between Vice President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vladimir Padalko and Chargé d'Affaires of Sri Lanka Pakir Mohidin Amza

Issues of bilateral business cooperation were discussed on July 3 at a meeting between Vice-President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vladimir Padalko and Chargé d'Affaires of Sri Lanka in Russia Pakir Mohidin Amza.

Vladimir Padalko spoke about the structure of the Chamber and its place in the Russian business community. The possibilities of Russian investment in the fuel, energy and hotel complex of Sri Lanka and the prospects for the development of Russian tourism in this country were discussed.

The Vice-President of the Chamber noted that the predecessor of the current head of the diplomatic mission of Sri Lanka, Mrs. Janita Liyanage, visited the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry twice, and in the period 2022-2023 made 15 visits to the regions of Russia, where she held meetings in territorial chambers.

The Charge d'Affaires of Sri Lanka noted the stable nature of bilateral relations and expressed interest in developing cooperation between the chambers of commerce of the two countries. The parties agreed to continue business contacts.
