On July 12, the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted a round table “Investment dialogue Russia – Thailand: energy, pharmaceuticals, agro-industrial complex”, organized by the Expert Council on Investment Projects of the Council of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry on financial, industrial and investment policy and the Department of Project and Investment Activities of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The moderator was Deputy Chairman of the Expert Council on Investment Projects Valery Kardashov.
Opening the meeting, Vice President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Dmitry Kurochkin noted that the Chamber is open to discuss promising joint projects with foreign partners. Thus, within the framework of the international exhibition and forum “Innoprom-2024” (partner country – UAE), the delegation of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry held a number of productive meetings with foreign investors and entrepreneurs.
Chairman of the Council of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry on financial, industrial and investment policy Vladimir Gamza emphasized that all sectors of the Russian financial sector are represented in the Council and indicated his readiness to assist in establishing a direct and effective dialogue between entrepreneurs from different countries.
Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in the Kingdom of Thailand Yuri Lyzhin informed about the possibilities of the Trade Mission in providing assistance to Russian entrepreneurs to work in the Kingdom of Thailand.
The head of the Thai delegation, Chairman of the Industry Committee of the House of Representatives of the Kingdom of Thailand, Speaker of the United Thai National Party Akaradeh Phongpituchroy thanked the Russian partners for the warm welcome, informed about the delegation’s participation in the Innoprom-2024 exhibition and forum and announced the Thai side’s readiness to assist in promoting joint Russian-Thai projects.
In conclusion, Valery Kardashov noted that as a result of the discussion, a bilateral Working Group will be created with experts from relevant departments and the business community of the Russian Federation and the Kingdom of Thailand, which will systematize all the issues identified during the investment dialogue. At the same time, the Expert Council on Investment Projects together with the Department of Project and Investment Activities of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry plan to intensify activities to develop cooperation with Thailand in the field of the technology sector, agro-industrial complex, energy and pharmaceuticals.
