On July 12, the President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Sergey Katyrin, met  the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Central Federal District, Igor Shchegolev.

During the meeting, issues of cooperation between the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the office of the plenipotentiary representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Central Federal District on the development and support of entrepreneurship, as well as the replication of best practices and entrepreneurial initiatives were discussed.

Sergey Katyrin noted that currently, objective prerequisites have been formed in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation to unite and support entrepreneurs who approach business responsibly. That is why it is advisable to replicate the experience of the Vladimir, Voronezh, and Lipetsk regions in supporting responsible business by adopting regional laws with measures of regional support. Representatives of regional chambers of commerce and industry took part in the development of these laws.

This experience will be carefully considered at the next meetings of the associations of chambers of federal districts in order to formulate initiatives addressed to the regional authorities of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, noted Sergey Katyrin.

Also during the meeting, the experience of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in developing branches of the International Commercial Arbitration Court (ICAC) at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation in the constituent entities of the Central Federal District and the implementation of a special project “Development of family entrepreneurship in Russia” was presented.

Participating in the meeting were Ilya Zubkov, Vice-President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Arthur Niyazmetov, Deputy Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Central Federal District; Yuri Chaika, executive director of the Association of Interregional Socio-Economic Cooperation “Central Federal District”.
