On December 24, the President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Sergey Katyrin held a working meeting with the President of the Junior Chamber International (JCI) Kavin Kumar Kumaravel.

Sergey Katyrin spoke about the structure and activities of the Chamber system, as well as about the subsidiaries that make up the business support infrastructure.

“I consider the general organization of the work of the youth wing of entrepreneurship to be extremely important. This is the future of our country and business,” Sergey Katyrin emphasized.

Kavin Kumar Kumaravel noted that JCI unites over 200 thousand young politicians, public figures, entrepreneurs, activists and volunteers in more than 115 countries around the world. The main goal of the organization is to activate the international youth movement, develop leadership skills, social responsibility and entrepreneurship. Since 1994, the Russian Youth Chamber (RMP) has been a full member of JCI.

The parties discussed a number of issues related to the development of youth entrepreneurship in Russia, as well as the initiative to hold the BRICS Youth Chambers Forum in 2025.

The meeting was also attended by the head of the Department of External Relations of the Chamber Ilya Nesterov, the president of RMP 2024 Roman Petin, the secretary general of RMP 2024 Andrey Pastukhov, the head of the Senatorial Committee of RMP 2022/25 Andrey Beskinsky, the head of the Senatorial Committee of RMP 2019/21 Dmitry Afanasyev and others.
