Sergey Katyrin Opened "PRODEXPO-2025" - 32nd International Exhibition of Food, Beverages and Raw Materials, the Largest Exhibit in Russia and Eastern Europe

The President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation Sergey Katyrin opened the 32nd international exhibition of food, beverages and raw materials for their production "Prodexpo", the largest in Russia and Eastern Europe.

The exhibition is organized by the Expocentre Central Exhibition Complex with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation under the patronage of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation. It will run until February 7.

1,835 companies are participating in "Prodexpo-2025": 1,383 Russian and 453 foreign. Thus, the exhibitors are organizations from four dozen countries, including Azerbaijan, Argentina, Armenia, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Lithuania, Mexico, Nepal, the UAE, Serbia, Thailand, Turkey, Uzbekistan, France, Chile, Switzerland, Sri Lanka.

Traditionally, "Prodexpo" is complemented by a large-scale business program for FMCG business.

"Over these 32 years, we have managed to jointly create a platform that provides opportunities for those who are just starting a business and large holdings so that they can demonstrate their capabilities, join forces, and establish interaction with partners from other countries," noted Sergey Katyrin.

According to him, among the participants there are countries with governments that are unfriendly to Russia. However, as he emphasized, businesses have a different point of view: "There is a desire not only to be present, but also to actively work in our markets."

"Many regional teams have become more attentive and responsible about participating in the exhibition. There are about 40 regions here that have prepared stands to demonstrate their products, solutions, and capabilities in terms of food security, which is one of the primary tasks," said Sergey Katyrin.

The head of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry also thanked his colleagues from Expocentre for organizing the event.

Expocentre CEO Maxim Fateev noted that food companies from four continents of the globe are represented at the site.

"We are no longer just an exhibition, we are a food platform where contracts worth billions of rubles are concluded daily. Today alone, more than 70 thousand buyers have registered at the exhibition," he specified.

The opening ceremony was also attended by Chairman of the State Duma Committee for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic Nikolai Kharitonov, First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Agrarian and Food Policy and Environmental Management Sergei Mitin, Head of Roskachestvo Maxim Protasov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federative Republic of Brazil to the Russian Federation Rodrigo de Lima Baena Soares and others.
