The delegation of the Nizhny Novgorod company "Khimreaktiv" (a member organization of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Nizhny Novgorod region) paid a business visit to Seoul from July 2 to 7. The trip took place with the organizational support of the Trade Representation of Russia in the Republic of Korea and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
The business program included meetings with representatives of key South Korean companies operating in the chemical industry, visiting enterprises and discussing the development of joint economic projects.
Negotiations were held with suppliers of ABS plastic, as well as the South Korean company UNID regarding the supply of a number of chemical components to Russia, including potassium carbonate and potassium hydroxide, which are one of the important resources for the domestic industry in many production chains: medicine and pharmaceuticals, metallurgy, oil refining, etc.
The parties discussed the potential for direct interaction, dealership conditions in the Volga Federal District. As a result, we reached a preliminary agreement on test deliveries of goods, as well as on possible cooperation in the field of formation and development of new joint projects.
“Given the peculiarities of the Korean market and the current external economic situation, we needed the assistance of experienced colleagues in linking our company with partners in Korea. Thanks to them, everything worked out. Personal direct contact established. Now we will implement the agreements,” said Yevgenia Kovalenko, director of JSC Khimreaktiv.

We worked out this task together with the Trade Representation, on behalf of Khimreaktiv, we established contact with Korean companies and agreed to hold face-to-face negotiations. They helped our company prepare for the meetings, advised on the peculiarities of business communication with Koreans. We are glad that they were successful. I will say that Nizhny Novgorod enterprises often turn to us for help with similar tasks. And the capabilities of the entire system of chambers of commerce and industry both in Russia and abroad, cooperation with our partners, colleagues from trade missions and other structures allow us to solve them quite quickly,” said Olga Akimova, director of the department of external relations of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
