The 45th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution in Iran was celebrated in Astrakhan. The ceremonial event at the Consulate General of Iran was attended by the Governor of the Astrakhan region, Igor Babushkin, as well as members of the regional government, city leaders, deputies, senators and public activists.

The Astrakhan Chamber of Commerce and Industry was represented by the President of the Chamber Stanislav Sinchenko.

Consul General of Iran in Astrakhan Mehdi Akuchekian addressed the guests with a welcoming speech. He noted that over 45 years, the Islamic Republic of Iran has come a long way in development and occupies leading positions in the world in a number of areas. Astrakhan Governor Igor Babushkin also delivered a welcoming speech addressed to the Iranian partners.
