In Moscow on March 14, at the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in the Russian Federation, a working meeting was held between the President of the Lipetsk Chamber of Commerce and Industry Anatoly Goltsov and the First Vice-President Vasily Goltsov with the Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman Hamud Salim Abdullah Al-Tuwaikh.

The Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman, Hamud Salim Abdullah Al Tuwaikh, presented his country's investment opportunities, highlighting, first of all, the sphere of high technology, digital security and the semiconductor industry, as well as infrastructure projects. The Ambassador of Oman noted that the government of his country strives to create the most simplified conditions for investors. According to the ambassador, Oman has the most dynamic investment environment in the Gulf countries. He called free economic zones especially attractive for investors.

Anatoly Goltsov presented the trade, economic, investment, cultural and tourism potential of the Lipetsk region. Also during the meeting, important issues of trade cooperation in the fields of mechanical engineering, metallurgy and other industries, as well as cultural aspects were discussed. Mutual supplies of goods play a significant role in the development of the economies of both countries. Anatoly Goltsov emphasized that in the current situation, Russian entrepreneurs are looking for new contacts and trade ties to build new logistics and commodity chains.

Both sides expressed their readiness to further cooperate and search for new opportunities for the development of mutually beneficial relations. Such meetings are an important step in strengthening economic and cultural ties between our countries. Based on the results of the meetings and negotiations, preliminary agreements were reached on the formation of business missions from among entrepreneurs of the two countries.

The Sultanate of Oman is one of the promising and important partners of the Russian Federation, as evidenced by the growth in trade turnover between Oman and Russia. Confirmation of the importance of Russian-Omani relations was the invitation of Oman as a guest country to SPIEF-2024. The most promising areas of cooperation are energy and tourism, which is facilitated by the presence of direct flights between the two countries, as well as the fact that in 2023 Russia and Oman entered into an agreement on the avoidance of double taxation, which further strengthened trade ties between the companies.
