In Chelyabinsk representatives of the South Urals Chamber met with a delegation from the Republic of Mali.

The meeting took place at the site of the Chelyabinsk Regional Agency for Economic Security and Risk Management. It was held by the first vice-president of the South Ural Chamber of Commerce and Industry Igor Aristov and the vice-president of the South Ural Chamber of Commerce and Industry, General Director of the ChRAEB Sergey Ulyanovsky. They discussed issues of business cooperation with the political and public figure of the Republic of Mali, Mr. Ousmane Drame.

The event was also attended by Nadezhda Akhtyamova, director of the Center for Business Education of the South Ural Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and representatives of the South Ural State Humanitarian Pedagogical University.

The head of the Malian delegation in Chelyabinsk is the chairman of the political party of the Republic “Actions por le Mali” and the president of the Private University named after Ahmed Baba, Mr. Ousmane Drame. Last year he signed an agreement on cooperation between the university and SUGGPU. Today, the range of issues of business cooperation and interuniversity partnership is actively expanding. If previously they were talking only about teaching Malian students the Russian language, now the parties plan to train personnel for the Republic in technical and engineering specialties.

Guests from Africa are also interested in attracting investment in agriculture and industry of the Republic of Mali, so they paid special attention to issues of entrepreneurial cooperation between the regions. They turned to the South Ural Chamber of Commerce and Industry with a request to support these initiatives.

The guests invited the leadership of the Chamber to take part in the organization of the Russian-Malian economic forum, which is planned to be held for the first time on the territory of the Republic. The African side is also interested in the presence in its country of a permanent representative of the South Ural Chamber of Commerce and Industry or the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
