On September 18, 2024, a delegation from India visited the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry. It included 16 Indian companies interested in establishing business relations with Russian partners.

The main activities of these companies are the production of carbide cutting tools, special-purpose equipment, overhead cranes and control and measuring equipment, steel and wire products, cosmetics, pharmaceutical industry, agriculture, real estate and construction, consulting.

The participants of the event were addressed with welcoming remarks by the Consul General of India in St. Petersburg Kumar Gaurav and the President of the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vladimir Katenev.

In his greeting, the President of the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry noted the importance of strengthening interstate relations between India and Russia, as well as the special role of
St. Petersburg as one of the largest economic centers of the country. In St. Petersburg, the number of participants in foreign economic activity is growing year by year, and there are many of them among the member companies of the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry. "We are pleased to see such a great interest from Indian entrepreneurs in cooperation with Russia. The St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry regularly acts as a platform for holding bilateral business forums, negotiations, presentations, and also actively interacts with the Trade Mission and partner organizations of India," added Vladimir Katenev.

The Consul General of India in St. Petersburg expressed sincere gratitude to the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry for organizing the event and support. "Thanks to our joint fruitful work, we managed to establish close cooperation and build an effective business partnership," noted Kumar Gaurav.

After the official part, B2B meetings were held between St. Petersburg and Indian entrepreneurs, during which they were able to establish personal contacts and present their services and products.
