On September 26, 2024, President of the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vladimir Katenev took part in the opening ceremony of the BRICS House in St. Petersburg, which was held in the Palace of Grand Duke Vladimir Alexandrovich (Dvortsovaya Nab., ​​26).

The ceremony was attended by the President of the International Network "BRICS House", Rector of the Eurasian International University Konstantin Klimenko, Consul General of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar in St. Petersburg Aung Phey Tae, Chairperson of the Commission on Industrial Tourism under the Committee on Entrepreneurship in the Sphere of Tourism of the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry Elena Galushko and other honored guests.

The international network "BRICS House" is being created by the business community within the framework of public diplomacy with the aim of promoting the economic integration of the BRICS countries
and expanding business and humanitarian cooperation of the allied countries. The project is being implemented as part of the preparation for the BRICS summit, which will be held in October
in Kazan. BRICS Houses will be opened in 10 countries - members of the international association, including Russia. In our country, they are opening in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Kazan.

The director of the BRICS House in St. Petersburg was the Chairperson of the Commission
on Industrial Tourism under the Committee on Entrepreneurship in Tourism
of the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry Elena Galushko.

"The opening of the BRICS House in St. Petersburg not only emphasizes the importance of our city in the international arena, but also symbolizes the desire of the BRICS countries to unite to respond to global challenges and achieve common goals, including in the field of economic development," said Vladimir Katenev, President of the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in his greeting.

"A digital platform will be created for the unified network of the BRICS House, where participants will be able to find partners for the implementation of business and social projects," said Konstantin Klimenko, President of the BRICS House International Network and Rector of the Eurasian International University, welcoming the guests.

The event was an important step towards the further development of partnership between the BRICS member countries. The BRICS House will be a place for productive dialogue and the implementation of joint projects.
