On October 10, the Novosibirsk City Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted a meeting between the Chamber's leaders and the Director General of the Trade Department of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea (KOTRA) Kim Ha Min.
The purpose of the meeting at the Novosibirsk City Chamber of Commerce and Industry was to discuss the prospects for cooperation between enterprises of South Korea and Novosibirsk, as well as to present joint business events of KOTRA with NCCCI, in particular, the upcoming presentation of the Korean company, the leader in the field of grain processing "Daewon GSI" (equipment manufacturers), on October 15, 2024.
NCCI Vice President Tatyana Bernadskaya spoke about the experience of cooperation between NCCCI and KOTRA, about the tools and capabilities of the Chamber in finding and attracting the target audience for foreign companies.
NCCI President Yuri Bernadsky assured Mr. Kim Ha Min that the Chamber would provide information support for the upcoming event.
Agreements were reached on holding future joint meetings to promote Korean goods on the Siberian market by organizing presentations, seminars, and meetings of various formats for companies interested in cooperation.
KOTRA is a non-profit organization established by the Korean government in 1962 to promote trade between Korea and other countries. KOTRA helps interested companies from all over the world develop business relations with the Republic of Korea. In order to effectively perform its functions, KOTRA has created an extensive network of foreign representative offices. Currently, there are 129 representative offices in 86 countries. In Russia, KOTRA has the diplomatic status of the Trade Department of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in the Russian Federation.
The Novosibirsk branch of KOTRA has been operating since 2004 and provides Siberian entrepreneurs with a number of services free of charge: finding business partners in South Korea (import from Korea); organizing negotiations between Russian businessmen and Korean companies as part of trade missions in Novosibirsk; assistance in establishing partnerships with Korean companies that have entrusted KOTRA to represent their interests in Siberia (representative offices of Korean companies in Novosibirsk); providing comprehensive support to Russian companies wishing to visit or take part in exhibitions or negotiations in the Republic of Korea; organizing business negotiations in Novosibirsk in the mode of online teleconferences.
One of the main tasks of the NSCC is to assist the business community of the region in entering foreign markets, finding foreign business partners and implementing joint projects in the field of international industrial cooperation.
