
On January 16, 2025, a meeting was held at the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry between Vladimir Katenev, President of the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Mrs. Neelam Rani, Consul General of the Republic of India in St. Petersburg, and Mr. Kalrav Mishra, Consul for Commercial Affairs.
The meeting was attended by Anatoly Loshakov, Advisor to the Representative Office of the Russian Foreign Ministry in St. Petersburg, Irina Karpenko, Director of the External Relations Department of the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Alexey Balashov, Deputy Chairman of the Financial Markets Committee of the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Maxim Stelmakhovich, Director of the Intourist office in St. Petersburg, and Abinesh Lalu, representative of the Monnet company.
The parties discussed key aspects of the development of bilateral relations, including the possibility of expanding the export and import of goods and services, the investment potential of St. Petersburg, exchanged experiences, and outlined specific steps
to implement joint initiatives.
“We highly value the developing relations with St. Petersburg and see great potential for further cooperation. India is ready for active interaction with Russian partners, and the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry plays an important role in establishing these ties. We hope for fruitful joint work that will bring mutual benefit and strengthen the friendship between our countries," said the Consul General of the Republic of India in St. Petersburg.

The St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry is ready for active interaction with Indian partners and comprehensive support for companies seeking to enter the Russian market," emphasized the President of the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue exchanging information and actively cooperate in organizing business missions, forums and seminars aimed at developing bilateral partnership.
