On February 10, President of the Ural Chamber of Commerce and Industry Andrey Besedin held a working meeting with Deputy Ambassador of the Republic of India to the Russian Federation Mr. Nikhilesh Giri and representatives of the Embassy.

During the meeting, the parties discussed organizational issues related to the opening of the Consulate General of the Republic of India in Yekaterinburg this year and agreed on operational cooperation in this area.

Welcoming the guest, the President of the Ural Chamber of Commerce and Industry emphasized that the opening of diplomatic missions of various countries in Yekaterinburg gave an additional impetus to mutually beneficial cooperation.

"India has always been and remains a reliable partner for both Russia and the Sverdlovsk Region. I am confident that the opening of the Consulate General will bring good results not only from an economic point of view, but also for the penetration of the original culture of India into the Urals," said Andrey Besedin.

The exact dates for the opening of the Consulate General of India in Yekaterinburg have not yet been determined, but according to Mr. Nikhilesh Giri, it will definitely take place before the start of the INNOPROM international exhibition in Yekaterinburg.
