On February 22, the Central Siberian Chamber of Commerce and Industry held a ceremonial event dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the visit to Krasnoyarsk of the government delegation of the People's Republic of China headed by the leader of the Communist Party of the People's Republic of China Mao Zedong.

The event was attended by the President of the Central Council of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Rafael Shageyev, Acting Head of the Department of External Relations of the Governor of the Territory Oksana Tsareva, Chairperson of the Krasnoyarsk Regional Public Organization "Chinese Community" Maria Zhaohun, representatives of public and educational organizations, expert and business communities.

— Today's rally is dedicated to the development of friendly relations between the Russian and Chinese peoples, which has been going on for many decades. And it was Comrade Mao, as the founder of the PRC, who laid the foundation for them. Today, the leaders of our countries, Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin and Xi Jinping, are working together to create a new, multipolar and fair world order. And it is Siberia, the Krasnoyarsk Kray, being the heart of Russia and its economic support, that serves the development of trade relations with the People's Republic of China, said Rafael Shageev.

The president of the chamber also noted that a representative office of the Russia-China Friendship Society will be opened in Krasnoyarsk. At the end of the event, Rafael Shageev presented Mr. Zhao Yinan with a power of attorney to work as a representative of the Central Council of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the Chinese city of Zibo.
