On March 25, the Novosibirsk Region Chamber of Commerce and Industry was visited by the Director of the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) Representative Office in Moscow, Mr. Allen Xu.
The Chamber was represented by the President of the Union of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the Novosibirsk Region, Sergey Altukhov, and Vice President Oksana Isaeva.

The guests noted the successful practice of working with the Russian side. Cooperation in the field of computer technologies has been established between the countries.

For example, more than 50 companies visited the COMPUTEX Taipei International Computer Exhibition, held at the World Trade Center in Taipei, the capital of Taiwan, in 2024 through TAITRA support.

Sergey Altukhov noted the historically established partnership and strategic cooperation between Siberia and Taiwan, which have been actively developing for more than 30 years.

The parties exchanged information on the services provided and support for entrepreneurship and agreed on future cooperation in the following areas:

Accelerated procedure for obtaining business visas to Taiwan (5 working days);
Mutual verification of counterparties (origin and reliability of the company);
Preparation of documents for entering the market of one of the countries.
The Director of TAITRA emphasized that at the moment the most popular request from the Taiwanese side is food products from the Russian Federation. For example, the export of Russian grain and its processed products in 2024 exceeded 86.7 million tons, which is 2.8 million tons more than the result of 2023. And he invited members of the Union of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the Novosibirsk Region to take part in a number of exhibitions as guests and invited representatives of the chamber on a return visit.

At the end of the meeting, the participants exchanged memorable gifts. The President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Novosibirsk Region presented Mr. Allen Xu with a silver coin depicting a monument of the Novosibirsk Region.
